How is this Gan different than all the others?

Our Philosophy

Dr. Maria Montessori, the namesake of our educational philosophy, cultivated her work around the belief that children must have freedom — achieved through order and self-discipline — to develop their fullest potential. At the Gan, this is infused with a warm Jewish atmosphere, bringing joyful awareness to your child’s heritage and “neshama” – their soul.

Montessori school

Children are curious.

Children crave learning; we need only draw them in with inspiration and guidance.

Montessori education

Children need guidance.

Children thrive with safety, and learn best in a prepared, secure environment.

Children are unique.

Every child learns at their own pace. Honoring that increases joy in learning.

Children have an inner voice.

The Jewish moral concepts we teach help them find it – and listen close.

Children are leaders.

When we trust, inspire, and guide, they become leaders in their world.
